A New Federal Tax Credit has been implemented for all of 2011, which is great news for you. Unfortunately it isn’t as big as the one in 2010 (we warned you!), but it still makes it more than worth while to invest in energy efficient windows and doors.
The new credit is $200 for windows and $500 for doors! This is good throughout the year, but Spring is the time to get them installed so you can enjoy those beautiful new windows and/or doors the whole year through! Don’t wait until the end of the year to only run out of time at the last minute, as next year it seems doubtful (with all the focus on cutting the federal budget) that this or any other tax credit will be available next year.
If you missed last year’s big credit, 2011 is the year to take advantage of a still substantial discount. With all that you’ll be saving this summer and winter in energy savings AND the tax credit, you will see your investment paying off sooner than you think.
